I knew it from moose since the packing to protect the knife was old playboy pages and empty jack daniels bottles. Weird.

Either way its a new FFG bk16

OOOOOO...AAhhhhhhhhh

Awesome sauce. Glad you got it.

Sorry for the packing, I thought I shipped it out in a fresh box, turns out, that was my nightstand box. Woops.

Moose:D

while it Was funny...I wasn't fooled..I knew there was no way you would leave it stock LOL. That's about as likely as ME leaving one stock!

I love those scales...what wood is that?

Very cool! I like hour the scales kinda off set the blade. You know what I mean? It's a goods thing.

I wanna send you one of mine to do that to. I'm sure I'd find a way to eff it up if I did it.

yeh i really like the scales. they are even better in person. ill do the finish if ya want but it really isnt hard at all. no practice required.

Thanks guys, the FFG has really grown on me. Like the bk5 at first i wasnt impressed with the photos on the forum. It just didnt seem like it would be better than my FPR. but once it got here and was all slicy dicey, i like it more. I convexed the edge and now it slices the cool off the ccucumber.

Damn, that's beautiful work. Your etches get better with every knife, and those scales are classy as it gets.

Looks great, I actually plan to leave the coating on mine as is, cuz I'm too cheap (financially intelligent) to buy an Esee. Also I plan to make this my primary belt knife for most hikes, fishing trips etc. I've seen my stripped BK7 start to rust/stain a bit after a day spent in un-sheltered downpour, so I figure this one can come wading with me without having to be dried off and oiled right away.

The gf though wants a 16...and a 15 lol. One for the kitchen, one for the woods she says. She wants both of em stripped though, so I'll get to experiment with those.

I really don't remember how. I saw your thread before, tried to find it recently, but couldn't. Send me the info if you would be so kind.

I still cant get over those scales Clich! Very nice looking. They perfectly compliment the aged look of the bleach/etch. I really gotta get my hands on some fancy wood one of these days.

I was surprised you sold your FPR 16.

I dont need two. I do need a new pocket knife since the 0551 isn't cutting it literally since its to thick. So since I decided the minute I got it that the FFG was going to be the knife I used now, I sold the FPR.
