Special Edition BK4

I was specifically told there were no tracking numbers because it shipped USPS, not UPS. Don't really care, it'll get here when it gets here. And then I can drive an hour across the border and pick it up lol.

Probably because you're in Canada? It's usually significantly less expensive to ship across the border via USPS.

Just got home and I found the tracking number in my inbox. Supposed to be here by the end of the day tomorrow. How's THAT for service?!?! Just email them and ask for your tracking number. That's all I did and they were super nice about it.

I have my stuff shipped to a PO box in Washington, and then drive down and pick it up. A knife order that would cost 8 bucks shipped to my PO box would cost me 30+ if shipped to my door. Plus I fill up on your cheap gas ;)

Hmm, just checked my online statement, I was charged for it yesterday, at a price of $92.79. Before I send an email, anyone know why I might be charged the extra $7.79? Was shipping accidentally added onto it, or am I missing some hidden tax or fee that I've never encountered before? lol

Mine was 85 flat. I would email them and find out what's up. Tell them you will be happy to keep the extra money on there if they throw in another 4.

We pay about $1.45/L here in the Vancouver area and lower mainland at the moment, that works out to about $5.37 a gallon, so when I see prices around $4.15 and lower, I jump. Take into account my vehicle requires premium gas, so I notice the difference quite a bit. Makes the hour and half round trip worth it lol.

Also, sent email to Ka Bar, I think someone might have seen my Canadian billing address, and not noticed the American shipping address when they charged me, but I really don't know.

It's stabilized sycamore from Burl Source, very unique looking stuff

Mark from BurlSource always has some really nice wood. His prices are fair and shipping is pretty quick too. That sycamore is awesome, btw. I've been doing a lot of G-10 and cord wraps here lately, but when i do use wood, it usually comes from BurlSource.

UPS cannot deliver to PO Boxes, so my guess is that the extra charge is to cover the USPS stuff. Though you are right it could be someone thought it was going to Canada and charged you.....

Hey Haze, I'm in WA and the lady told me I was going to be charged WA sales tax for my order... That's probably where the extra $ is coming from.

Nick

Hey Nick, just got a nice email explaining that it was Washington Sales tax... Which sucks because I don't even live there lol. I'll remember not to place orders directly to KaBar, as I've never been charged tax through Tomar's or Knofecenter. Oh well, still worth it even if it suddenly got more expensive than I was expecting.

Woulda been nice if I was told this when I placed the order, I might have just waited to get a regular BK4 through Tomar's when they're in stock, but not a deal breaker.

Disregard last. They have landed, in all their roll-stamped beauty, in Connecticut! :D UPS, 12:30 EDST.

Just got the message that I have a package at my home....repeat the package is at my home!
