As promised photos of the Herman Williams Uncle Henry 127UH and 227UH folding bowies with a few similar Schrade friends including Herman Williams Stag 61OT Slim Premium Stock. Herman can feel rightly proud of these Schrade beauty's.
My photos dont do these gems justice.Brass Bolsters,Shields, liners and pins I have been told these were finished/crafted by Herman with Imperial pieces and were originally intended as club knives. The matching stag scales are breathtakingly beautiful combined with the unique brass hardware.
The 127UH's were produced 1968 to '88 with a lanyard hole in the end bolster every year except 1974-'75.After several name changes it was called 'Folding Hunter Lockblade' 1976 to'88.
The 227UH 'Folding Bowies' were produced 1970 to 1983.
All future Schrade photos I submit will be direct to Larry Vickery's website Schrades R Us to avoid further lame controversies...... Hoo Roo

WOW ! those are THE most beautiful Schrades anywhere ! i too have a Herman Williams 61OT. the workmanship is as good as in a $300 + full custom.
are those Schrade, custom, or "other" production sheaths ? roland

Thanks Roland, They are original lovely Schrade as supplied with the Schrade Walden 25OT 'Alaskan Old Timer Hunters.Centre box top line of photos is all original Mint complete with sharpening stone. The first photo top line second sheath from left is actually stamped 'Schrade Walden' across top which is the only sheath I have seen so marked others say Old Timer etc. Those Folding Hunters by Herman would convert any one to Schrade they are magnificent. Keepers for sure! Hoo Roo

Like a lot of Schrades I've got, they never see Ebay I deal direct with trusted Schrade Collectors who offer them to me... they love their Schrades so much they dont like to see them split so offer as a matching pair only to be kept together .most read these forums however dont post.
I would not liked to have gone through the Ebay experience with these...someone might have even declared them fakes!...I guess they are literally' changlings' which indicates how absurd that title can be.....

:eek:boy is that a beautiful collection. i know your very proud of it. Especially those h.william knives, they are very very special in light of them being customized by the man that seems to have devoted all of his free time an energy to the schrade product and legacy of the 100 year old co. (HAVE YOU SEEN THE ARTICLE ABOUT HIM IN THE '86 SARGENTS AMERICAN PREMIUM GUIDE TO POCKET KNIVES......PG.202) what a schrade student !! i have been real concerned about his absence from ebay of late and was glad to see him back as a seller last week. his customized knives to me feel more "schrade" than anything. i have a few of "the wall collection" pieces that i believe were his and just won my 2nd trapper from one of his auctions. they'll hold a place in my collection at the top along with my dads an grandads schrades! thanks for sharing those pics --brady

Thanks for comments Brady, they are even more beautiful in the flesh, photos cant show the stunning contrast of brass hardware and burnt stag chosen by a Schrade expert customiser. Herman has been very generous to me as well sending me gratis many of the Schrade production color flyers and Ellenville Schrade newspaper from the 70's etc from his accumulations plus sending me personal emails. Every family has a link which bridges both generations and when that link passes on without documenting their knowledge future generations are poorer for not having that knowledge of their predecessors. Quite often I have found the link is taken for granted until its too late. I have my family history documented and supported with birth/ marriage/death certificates for the past 200 years and my particular family link has now passed on but the history is well documented for those that follow to add to. The Schrade family/manufacturing history is very similar and these beautiful examples will remain testament to Hermans Schrade Craftsmanship skills and hopefully this forum to Schrade history. <That's about as sentimental as this old war horse,me, gets> Its too easy to take things/people for granted until it/they no longer here..egos that need to be constantly stroked are one of the biggest culprits IMHO. G'Day,I just saw Brady's magnificent 125OT Stag handle by the little maestro Herman Williams on the Customised Thread. I was going to take some photos of my Herman Williams 127UH and 227UH which is so similar to Brady's knife. Mine have brass bolsters and brass shields and the blade configuration on the 227UH is I believe a one of one he did originally as a Club knife using Imperial parts.
They dont get any better than these as they do not have the slightest imperfection on either knife even under close scrutiny. The brass adornments compliment the burnt stag magnificently.
Nice 125OT Brady. Hoo Roo
