I have a special custom Kiku Matsuda tanto. Kiku's non-tactical line are not seen often, only at knifeshows. They are really hard to find and they are really a testament to Kiku-san's grinding skills (Kiku makes knives for William Henry). The man is a descendant of samurais later turned toshos.

For sale is a really beautiful tanto with a 5 1/8" razorsharp VG10, with a nice gentle "sori" (curve). The blade sits in shirasaya-style furniture, the tsuka and saya both made of some curly maple (I think it's a Japanese variety). There is a unique, beautiful and ingenius textured "habaki", probably made of brass, which fits the blade gently into the saya without scratching it. The grinds are impeccable, and the edge is scary sharp. The sori really completes the tanto's lines....you don't see "sori" in Western style intepretation of a modern tanto.

Comes with a hand-sewn tanto bag, made of nice brocade material.

I wouldn't sell this if I didn't need funds. So no trades, unless you have a NIB Strider RC with tritium studs with perfect QC.

$570 shipped, paypal fee included for a hard to get, beautiful modern take on the Japanese tanto, from a real descendant of samurais of feudal Japan. I will ship the tanto via Express Mail so will arrive in the US in 5 days.
