I have several of these little jewels by Sgt. Karka. They are nine inches and weigh in at 6 ounces. The knives are unmarked and were made in Sgt. Karka's shop by the good Sgt. himself. The white metal on the scabbard is engraved at top and tip. Some have Nepal engraved on the center cross strap. The reason Sgt. Karka made these is to try to repay us for the help we have given his son, Ram, who is in med school in Latvia. One good turn deserves another so I'm sending the profit from these to Ram.

The pix is not too good. Besides being very unhappy with Andale I'm also very unhappy with this HP Camera and Yangdu is going to try to trade it in at Circuit City for something that takes a better pix. At 3.2 megs it acts more like a .5 meg.

Anyway, the price for this Bilton Kothimoda made by Sgt. Karka is $45 delivered to your door if you live in the US. If you are outside US add $15 for shipping.

Email to get one of these baby Bilton Kothimodas.

A Very Nice mini-Kothimoda Indeed...
Sgt. Karka surely does nice crafting ;)

Sending e-mail to Uncle asap!
May the force be with us

Nice to have pictures again.

Welcome home and I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to the return of the good old days when the UBDOTD's and UBBB's came with eye candy.

Hows this for a tribute to Uncle Bill and HI, within half an hour of my WW2 Blem arriving I had e-mailed an order for another HK Khuk. I think its fatal...

Hope there are a couple of these little beauties left!

E-mail sent, I like Biltons, and though I've never met him, I've no doubt I would like Sgt Karka.

Got curious...is the red portion leather or velvet?

:D :D :D

WOW!!!

I love Saturday mail! The Bilton just arrived Uncle...Thank You!

It's awesome...beautiful white metal (maybe silver, maybe nickle...who knows how to tell the difference?) work, "NEPAL" on the crossband, a very cool fish on the top piece, nice sun and satellites at the chape, herringbone type etches around the other pieces and red velvet as you said...WAY cool!

The Khuk is a tight fit (compared to a leather scabbard) a total pleasure with brass inlay in the sword of shiva, a perfect *knife* length as opposed to a chopper (although it does have a nice weight forward snap to it!) and the edge....oh my, the edge...

The edge is a total surprise...a perfect and complete *push* cut from cho to tip...I wish I could produce this edge on all of my blades! I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to see this baby go! My simple paper test was to simply move it to the edge of the paper (3 different kinds) and then to sort of "think of the blade moving forward. The paper simply separated in front of it...*very* hard to describe!

Can I hire the Sarge to come to my house and sharpen every edge in the house?

This knife Will not be often used...I bought it for three reasons. First, to help support Sarge's son, secondly as a display piece since I wanted something to stay purely pretty and finally as a ceremonial knife with the siver/black horn and red velvet combination (the colors have a meaning).

But this edge *begs* to be put to use!

Sarge, Uncle, Yangdu...Thank You! :D :D :D

ps: I forgot to mention that the metalwork on the back of the scabbard has an added bulge (a separate piece actually) at the top to help trap the scabbard in your belt as well as to position the handle in an outward-angled position so it can be easily gripped. Very ergonomic and perfect for California bicyclers!

Nasty,
Now you have my blood boiling to get mine in the mail this coming week. This will be my first Bilton and they sound like winners! I look forward to seeing this cute little blade. My lady thought that it looked nice and that was reason enough to get it!!;) Not that I seem to need much of a reason to buy khukuris from UB.:D
