Special Order 110 Drop Point Damascus

If you look REAL hard you might just find a drop point Damascus 110 out there. I have one that was custom made at the plant in the 1980's with stag inlays using the Damascus that was available at that time. FYI.

Note: the blade was shaped prior to acid etching not after.

I was just wondering about you today, Goose. I was going to send some Canada Search Geese after ya!

Good to hear that you are still vertical. :D

Thanks A.P.F. :)

Gotta keep coming back now to see if we're gonna get a reasonably priced Damascus BCCI blade ;)

Last night I sent John a picture of the finished knife above and suggested that maybe Buck buy the bar stock from Leavitt instead of Thomas for a BCCI knife as it would be much more cost effective. Buck has done tool steel damascus in the past so it shouldn't be a problem. And Leavitt's patterns are really nice.

Just an edit to include John's comments to my suggestion that Buck look to some Leavitt bar stock for BCCI knives.
If anyone is opposed to this idea...pipe up.

Gordon,

Beautiful! The damascus looks great. We'll definitely have to recommend Grand Leavitt to Buck. I like the idea of keeping the cost down for members.

Thanks for sharing.
John

That's funny, I just got a blade for another knife from Grand and emailed him asking if he would consider doing a drop point in damascus for a 110 or 112. Nice to see that other people's minds work like mine...

i would love that the club would do a drop damascus blade
sign me up
but if they donet
i found out another knife maker is looking to contact
Grand about drop point blades in his frames...

Just look what happened to the BCCI 2006 DP stag 112.....$200.00 wont get one to your door....Add all the factors that make a Buck LE collectable....Issue price of 175.00 or so would make for a QUICK sellout in 110 or 112.....Beauty and quality and rarety...I'll buy one...
