Yes, sure, it was Schrade collecting that starting me looking for Aurum knives, I still have quite a few Schrades but decided to diversify into Aurum knives. It started years ago when I sent Sam a very nice photo of my Schrade bowie Aurum Etched knives (I can re-post photo if anyone wants to see them again) and it started there.
I was fortunate that I lived in Australia as Sam had a real interest in our Aboriginal Culture and we were able to form a business relationship over time. I was able to exchange artifacts of cultural value for knives that I would not have had the opportunity to own normally. The cost of many of the knives was offset by his generousity. It has really has been a great experience, I value his friendship. We still keep in regular contact.
