Special Orders Update

What kinda sun do they get in nepal?

I just finished a prototype of a parabolic solar pyrolysis reactor that takes biological waste (corn cobs, stalks, pretty much anything from a harvest that is trash) and turn it into char and oil which can be made into charcoal.

I got it to make 30 pounds of bio charcoal per batch and a batch takes roughly 5-7 hours depending on the amount of sun.

Is that a viable solution?

Tony

I'm pretty sure this is clear evidence that the Cantina is in fact a watering hole for advanced aliens wishing to pass along their technology in a passive fashion. :D
Seriously guys, these are fantastic ideas and offers. I've often wondered about diesel technology being a viable alternative source of power. I remember watching a program about the motorcycle courier/scouts during the Gulf War that had modified dirt bikes that could run on pretty much anything that would burn. Made perfect sense since carrying a fuel source with them was problematic.

Original and Tony, I would love to see/learn about your prototypes (well as much as you would like to share publicly). My mind is truly boggled at what human ingenuity can create.

Hey Jake,

I sent you an email. If you want I can send some pictures and you can post them since you have a better membership than I.

Though, original's idea sounds a hell of a lot better to be honest. His idea/tech is a lot more practical for the situation while mine focuses more on strictly renewable energy only.

Tony

there is nothing wrong with combining ideas and techs.
i think the posted suggestions would make a great package.

Original,

Wanted to thank you for the info. I've found enough to keep me busy for a very long time. I even uncovered a couple of things that I'd only heard mention of before. Good stuff.

You're very welcome Stickfred, always glad to help others who want to learn how to live better on less. I have been learning some things about water that are mind blowers, which reminds me to tell you to look up an "Joe Cell" if you want to see a real fuel cell, Joe was told by the Australian gov. and oil co. to stop experimenting with his fuel cells, look on Utube for him.

wow Im really sorry to hear this. My sincerest apollogies for pestering about the CAK! hope everything turns out right, I'm happy to wait a couple more months as nessasary. I've got my other CAK to keep me happy for a awhile longer :D

God Bless.

I was going to call Yangdu about a couple special order ideas i had a about 2 or 3 months ago.

I was talking with Karda on the phone around the same time and he said maybe i should wait a while because she was swamped.

I am glad i did wait - there are some things i would like to see about having made but I have talked to Yangdu a few times in the past couple moths and i know it is sometimes hard for her to have people asking about orders plus the regular duties she has of trying to keep track of the shops and the shipments. She is always concerned with the people in Nepal with HI the business - and customers and the forum.

she is a busy lady and a wonderful person and i hope this gives her a little bit time to relax and maybe have a little less stress -
'
Yangdu thanks for all you do. It is admirable the way you are always concerned with other people - both those in Nepal (the business and the quality of life for the families and children) and us on the forum with all our orders, shipping and questions.

Also a shout out and a Bravo Zulu to the mods and everyone here who has tried to help the people in Nepal through personal contributions be it time effort or cash.

I guess i just wanted to say all that because i am happy that i found such a great little area on the world wide web

We like you too, Eric! ;)
I think i can speak for Auntie also, when i say THANK YOU! to you all for being such good natured friends and customers....and so understanding of the problems beyond our control. It is good to see how our little community can pull together to keep the wheel turning, however slowly. Your contributions, whatever form they take...large or small... all allow and propel that wheel forward. All your help keeps H.I.'s anvils singing and allows new khukuri to be born. Most importantly though...... your contributions allow LIFE.....opportunity where once there was none, help in time of need, hope that tomorrow will be better than today.
Thank you all for being our friends!

Greetings to all, shop and kamis are still busy making pending order knives and Sword.
I will let you know when you can send the special orderknife to shop and Kamis. Thank you all for your patience

Ms. Yangdu;

With all teh difficulties that HI has been under in Nepal, I think we would all agree that you can have all tht ime you need - we'd rahter them be done right, than done quick. Besides, rushing could lead to accidents and someone geting hurt. Take yor time - we'll be here waiting!

Yangdu, Thank You for getting the Info to me, will be building the unit for the shop right away. Will ship it to you with installation instructions that are easy but should be followed closely.
I agree with the others, we will be here too, when things get to running better in Nepal.

Gotta say, it's fantastic that we have folks like Original, with the know-how and generous spirit to help out like that. Hope it works for them!

Just an update, the unit is almost ready to send to Yangdu, I was wondering how things are going in Nepal at this time?

The great part of the plasma generator is it's small size and not too heavy, most of it will go in a big Khuk box with instructions...
Oh, and thanks for the nice comments Gent's

Things are getting bit better in Nepal and I will be able to take the spceial order request in couple of weeks.
HI and Kamis would like to thank Original for plasma generator help.

I subscribe and contribute to an alternative energy newsletter that gathers all the news about the subject from around the globe and delivers a digest email about once every two days or so. All of the past info is kept online. I believe you can subscribe somewhere on this page: http://peswiki.com/energy/News

And the founder also created a community-driven wiki where all the new announcements and technologies are compiled and tracked: http://peswiki.com

There's a top 5 and and top 100 page, where the site's founder and contributors try to weed out the real stuff from the pipe dreams. Once you get to the main page, scroll down until you see Departments and Directory on the left navigation bar. That's where the 4,000 articles are categorized. I'm sure Paul Pantone and G.E.E.T are spoken of in depth there.

I have not found enough details to make an assessment of this GEET or plasma system, but Paul Pantone is in a mental hospital and accused of fraud. Depending on how you go that means there's a big oil/government cover-up of some amazing technology or a scam system that doesn't work. I find some of the claims quite questionable.

Just a little buyer beware.

Joule acknowledges its reluctance to fully explain its “solar converter.” CEO Bill Sims told Biofuels Digest, an online biofuels news service, that secrecy has been essential for competitive reasons. “Some time soon,” he said, “what we are doing will become clear.” Although astonishing in its assertions, Joule gains credibility from its co-founder: George Church, the Harvard Medical School geneticist who helped initiate the Human Genome Project in 1984.

sounds like it could be a basis for a 'zombies are coming' scenario
