Decided to close out 2014 with a nice piece. This is probably in the top 5 blades I did this year. I was saving this very special piece of Koa, but decided you only live once, so went ahead and matched it with this beautiful harpoon blade. This is my last piece from my first year as a full time maker. I'm happy I got to squeeze it in. The holidays were a blur, and then the day before yesterday I nuked my computer and the memory card in my new camera by shorting the usb cord somehow. I just got the new memory card in and got these shots done.

This is the harpoon blade version of my Hunter/Skinner variant of hidden tang hunting blades.

This is one of the best pieces of Koa that I've personally worked with. Definitely amongst the best I've seen. Tight and uniform curl figure, and superb coloration. I did my best to do it justice on this blade.

This is a collector grade piece, but still priced within range to make it a cherished working knife. Superb fit and finish. Excellent geometry. Well balanced and good manners. Sculpted handle is comfortable and attractive.

Harpoon Hunter/Skinner in CTS-XHP and AAA+ grade stabilized Koa

CTS-XHP @ 61 w/LN2 cryo, .155" at ricasso
4" edge length, 9.25" oal
416ss hardware
red/black g10 spacers

Includes buyer's choice of premium European leather sheath, made to order. I will include hand tooling on request considering this knife deserves a top grade sheath. Normally this starts at $25 extra and up.

I'd like $350 for this excellent piece. Price includes sheath and priority shipping with insurance. Paypal preferred.
