Hi Sal. I have a special request to make. Would you please do a sprint run of a S90V Manix. I have a S90V military and I love that steel. I also have a foliage green Manix and I love that knife, especially the blade size and design.
I figure now might be an easy time for you to do this sprint run as you probably have some S90V left from the Military run and you might also have the steel Manix liners made. I don't care if you put G-10 or Carbon Fiber on it as long as it has that nice steel liner. I don't really know but it seems you might just be set up to do this run without too much extra work? I think they would sell so fast it would make your head spin. I will buy several myself. All I can say is please. I love the Manix I think it might be the best Spyderco in my opinion.

If anyone else wants the same thing as me lets ask together, so add your input. Thanks:)

I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

I love my S90V Military. I love S90v steel! :)

I'd also like a "little bitty" knife like a Native in S90V.

I would buy 2 or 3, S90V is the ultimate blade steel

The manix is one of the strongest folders I've ever seen. I'd love to see it with a really strong, and still wear resistant steel like 3V, Vascowear, M4, etc. S90V is wear resistant as heck, but nowhere near the above steels in toughness. The above steels won't beat S90V in wear resistance, but they are great compromises that aren't stainless. M4 is probably the best of the above in being good at everything, corrosion resistance excepted of course with all of these steels. Joe

"S90V on steroids" That's saying a mouthfull. Thomas isn't prone to exaggerating or hyping things either. I believe him when he says stuff like that. What potential that one has!. It doesn't have to be stainless for me, but for most people I think it helps.

Another super steel to look foreward to. Joe

I love my Manix and my Military was lost in the mail... Means I can say I love my Manix and I suppose I would have loved my S90V Millie. The Robustness/Strength/Bulk of the Manix with super-steel, I'd buy it!!!

I would phrase it a bit differently, I would have requested a Manix with the best steel in Spyderco's arsenal! ZDP189, S90V (or S110V) or the weirdly named steel called OU-31 (3 times harder than D2 they say).

PS: I'd buy it, this time with shipping insurance!

Well I was hoping Sal could do one in S90V because he might almost be set up and supplied for it. I love S90V. I really can't see myself needing a much tougher steel in a folder. I have a Busse. I love the blade design of the manix especially the way it goes down to such a fine tip. I just wouldn't ever use it for prying or chopping. I have other stuff for that. The tip on my ZT 0300's looks much stronger. I definitely enjoy having a good stainless in a pocket folder as I sweat alot at work.

Hi Trucker,

We plan on using more S90V in the future. Just haven't decided where. I'll keep your thought in mind.

Eric has designed a min-Manix with a ball-bearing (with cage) lock that is planned for '09. I'll see if he's interested in S90V for that model?

:eek::eek::eek:

Dreams do come true.

Hey Sal. First let me say that it's very nice to be able to interact with you so directly, it says a lot about you. I want to say first that I like the Manix as it is now and think the S30V blade is excellent. It is the size, blade shape and grind that I think makes the knife so perfect. The lock is also so solid I feel it will last longer than me. S30V makes an awesome blade and really I can't find it to be lacking at all in a knife of this design. I will admit to you and everyone else something that it seems I am constantly having to admit to my wife. I don't need this thing, I just want it. I just want it. I want a beautiful Manix with a S90V blade just to have it. There now you and she can tell me how this is nonsense, I don't care. I love myself, so there :-)~

I want several S90V Manix and while we are at I'd like a few S110V Manix to go with them!

I have never had the privilege of handling a Mini Manix, as far as I can tell they are all gone but for a few partially serrated models. Not interested in partially serrated. The knife looks very nice though and if you make them I will give them a try. S90V would be sweet too. Thank you Sal.

Why don't we all just cut to the chase.I would like to see the manix in cpm125v.:D

Ah, the Golden Glessers, making all your dreams come true. :D

As would I, but S125V still has that issue of being as wear resistant as the grinding wheels used to shape it. Now that S110V is coming it will probably be a while till we see something better than that.

I still want a usable steel in the RC 70 range.

Sal can come up with things that make me just shut up and think sometimes. This is one of those times. Joe

Will it still have the choil?
If so, I know my dad will be on the buyers list, as he always thought my Mini-Manix would be awesome with an AXIS lock(Ball-bearing works the same way).
Heck, I might need to get one too.
