We had special request we couldn't refuse, the Zurich SWAT Team in Switzerland requested that we do a run of all black XM-18's with serrated blades for them. So the parts went off to Ionbond for their DLC coating, and here are the results!

We "might" have 1 or 2 at the Blade Show, time will decide that for us. They are not something we are going to take orders for, but we will have them available at future shows in limited numbers.

Looks like I'm just gonna have to kick some zurich swat guys ass and take his xm .....;););):D

That is total badass. I hope they sent you guys some Swat Patches in apperication for doing these! man that is sweet!

WOW! What doesn't look good in DLC coating? I too am not a huge fan of serrated edges but in the tactical world they are of value. I wonder how scratch resistant that particular DLC is? Now that I think about it is a Tenifer (Carbonitride) treatment ever made on knives? I've taken a screwdriver to a Glock and couldn't scratch it. Hmm, there may be an issue with Tenifer on knives because it may screw up the heat treatment (at least on the blade). Never really thought about it.

this is one of the few knives (apart from emersons amongst others) on which I think a black coating actually looks good on. great job.
A coating option would be pretty nice

Those look awesome.

Boy would I like to have an XM-24 in the same configuration w/o the serrations.

I really like the polished hardware against the black scales.
