Case Peanuts have a main blade measuring 2.125" and a spear blade that's 1.5".

From the TSA website: "The final decision rests with TSA on whether to allow any items through security checkpoints." So that $40 or $85 Peanut could very easily end up on the pocket of one of the TSA boneheads. Just something to consider. I might carry a SAK Classic SD were I to fly (which I avoid), but given the odds of confiscation even with a compliant knife, I would stick with a beater $5 SAK Classic off of eBay. Just my view of the world. :)

I don't think it really matters what the TSA say, I have discussed this aspect on other forums and invariably when you have someone who "works in airport security" what the law says, what TSA says and what the individual carrier's policy is doesn't matter a d*mn. Just obey the security officer and don't question anything "he is the law and knows it better than anyone with a law degree or even the simple ability to read". What is it about people who work in airports? I've had check-in staff tell me reading material counts towards your cabin baggage allowance while the sign on her desk plainly states it doesn't. They make it up as they feel like it and if you argue, they'll make damn sure you miss your flight.
