Can anyone point me to chemistry and heat treat specs for RWL34?

Thanks

Rob!

Chemistry is the same as ATS-34. Heat treat like ATS-34.

Thanks Larrin.

I did find a spec sheet on it and it is similar to ATS34. Anyone have any experience with use of this alloy or variations of the heat treat that may be more successful than others?

Rob!

154CM, ATS-34, CPM154, RWL-34 are basically the same chemistry but the last two are the particle/powder metal types which are better. All are suitable for 'plate quenching' Cryo isn't necessary but will get you 1-2 HRc points harder.

RWL tends to be a bit more brittle at decent hardness than 154CPM. The 154-CPM is both cheaper, easier to get, and offers better performance. Mike
