This is one of two Eagle Lockbacks we made. The other was sold.
This knife feels good in the hand.
Substantial blade, but still good for EDC.

The pearl has been reinforced underneath with a thin piece of G10.
Also, we haft the knife with the pearl after putting in the pivot and tumbler pins.
This makes for less stress on the pearl and will keep the knife looking great and the pearl crack free for a lifetime.
It takes more time and energy to do it this way, but it's better for the knife.

The swadge on the blade was hand-cut and sweeps all the way from the grind curve to the tip of the blade.
Long and flowing swadge that goes the entire length of the blade, mmmmmmmmmmm.

You can see the fire in this pearl. It has awesome color.
Not your everyday gold pearl.

It comes with the supple leather sheath that does have a belt clip.
The soft leather lanyard is decorated with carved malachite jewel stones.
The blade is hand-sharpened with ceramic stones and a strop to a razor edge.

Some folks here at the forums have encouraged me to rub the blades and bolsters with finer and finer grits for longer periods of time. We have been doing that and it really shows in this knife. The blade finish looks softer, more professional and more "refined." I'm always happy to hear constructive ideas. The results are almost always positive.

I hope you like this lockback. It's very rewarding to put together a little package like this one.

Keep Care,

Pappy

Hi,

I put a couple of links to additional photos of the spline.

The G-10 is very very thin and almost not noticeable.
But you be the judge.

Keep Care,

Pappy

Hey pappy that is noe fine piece of work!!! Can I ask where you got those lanyard beads, you know if you don't mind me asking?

The lanyard decorations I use mostly come from one of two sources:

1. Any ivory stuff I have is made by me. I like turning and carving the ivory.

2. Anything other than ivory comes from the Bead Paradise in Oberlin, Ohio
www.beadparadise.com I think is their website. I met a young woman there who has a terrific eye for these things. I take in the knives and she makes suggestions. All her ideas seem to be right on target. I reciprocate by giving her mammoth ivory for her to use on her own jewelry. It's alot of fun.

Thanks for the kind words. Hope this one sells soon......................

Keep Care,

Pappy

My favorite to date, Pappy, but, hey, I'm partial to lockbacks and wharncliffes.
