I have a Speed Bump on the way.Wanted one for long time. The thing is I never handled one, will I be disappointed when it arrives?

I seriously doubt you will be disappointed.
Which one did you get? The 1595 or 1595ALBLK all black aluminum model?

It depends on what you're planning on using it for. I like mine; the recurve is a bit much, but I like it. It's not difficult for me to sharpen and it comes out very fast. The pocket cilp is tip-down right-hand only, which I don't like. As an EDC, I find it to be a bit too much. My Leek does a great job as an everyday knife, and the Speed Bump adds a lot of weight and blade. For a heavy-duty folder, I'd say to get two. They're that good. The Stud Lock is a bit awkward at first, but I loved mine after about two days of using it. Very secure and not likely to fail. You can release it one-handed if you want to.

You could do a lot worse for the money:thumbup:
I think it all boils down to personal preference and what you're going to use it for.

Yeah, JN hit the nail on the head. It'll be a few days of fumbling with the stud lock, because you'll instinctively reach for the liner (or frame) lock. Once you get used to the stud lock, you'll probably like it; easy to use, and solid. Overall, I really like my Speed Bump, and I'm sure you will too. Enjoy your Bump!

The Speed Bump is an awesome knife. I have the 1595AL myself, which I read somewhere (on here, I believe) was a limited run for a specific distributor.

You won't be disappointed.

I got the 1595AL in the mail today.Solid flip and no blade play.Very sweet knife.I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for.Right now I'm just playing with it,always love a new toy.Of course what do I use the other 40+ knives I have? Can never have enough knives.

I love the Bumps, but dont carry my Spec Bump because its tip down. STR will remedy that for me once i get it out of storage.

I personally feel it is the smartest locking system going. Very secure and lighting fast to fold once its broken in a bit. The only movement of the hand/fingers it requires to unlock is simply getting the fingers out of the blade path.

I will be getting a mini-mojo soon too. I love my 1595ALBLK and purchased it for edc but the wife almost had a heart attack when she first saw it. I am hoping the Mini-Mojo is more sheeple friendly.

as a multi-brand enthusiast, I resent this! Sure I reach for the frame or liner on my Kershaws, but I've got my one-handed closing on my lockback Spydercos down to a science.

Doesn't the Mojo/Mini Mojo have a stud lock too?
