Speed-Safe Life Expectancy?

The bar in my whirlwind broke around the 6 year mark. They sent a new bar (they offered to service it, but it is an easy replacement) the day I called as far as I can tell.
 
Kershaw Blackout, about 7yrs old and has seen some hard use. Speedsafe works as good as the day I bought it...really.
