Hello!

Does anyone happen to have any opinions about Speedlock/Toplock knives?

Speedlock is sold with 4034 -steel blade - I'm not familiar with it.

As a "spare part" to it is available blades made from 440C, ATS34 and CPM-440V steels. The CPM blade seems to cost about
twice as much as 440C - is it worth it?

I have a speedlock with thuja inserts from www.toolshop.de and in my opinion it's a good knife for the money. It came razorsharp and the finition is very good. The 4034 steel is very simmilar with 420, a little better (HRC 55). It's not the best steel on the market, but it's acceptable.
Welcome to the forums!

Beware the converted top locks. I sold one to a fella who brought it back a couple weeks later. The handle inserts had fallen out, the blade was loose as a $10.00 'ho. This is not worth the $100.00 they sell for when there are MT's out there.
