This is good stuff,im buying shapnal version too,i ise dmt and norton stones,but for quiick field sharpening,with right technique and light touch,this is pretty good,i thought it was crap, too before started using it

Pull through has nothing to do with this...pull through is bs...,havent tried it obviously ...

Im not average lol,i can sharpen knife with this with light touch,it easily shaves hair with scary toothy edge...without gouging edge... maybe last little less compared to dmt,but im user,not collector,it works

It's especially useful for removing stubborn rolls and dings from edges before taking them to stones. It's basically a single file tooth.

That's sort of the niche I fit them into, for my uses on yard tools. After some time relying on that to keep the edge functionally useful, I'll completely reset the edge with a diamond hone or a mill bastard file for the softer steel in such tools.
