Spend my money on bushcraft items!

Parke1 and others,

Ive never seen anyone mention Silky Saws. Forget about all the other folding saws you have heard of. I am an Arborist and use hand saws on a daily. I can tell you there are no finer hand saws in the world than Silky. They cut like butter. I barely even use a chainsaw anymore. Only time I use one is on something larger than about 10 inches in diameter.

May I suggest a Silky Pocketboy. You can choose the from 2 different lengths and 4 different teeth patterns depending on what you are cutting. I personally own about 15 different Silky Saws of all size ranges. The Pocketboy is always in my pack and has saved me in numerous situations. Once you cut with a Silky you will understand what I am talking about. They are as addicting as knives. Heres a few pics and a link to there site and store.

Well, thanks again everyone for all the great suggestions.

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a Silky saw of some sort (still not sure which model exactly).

An unexpected purchase happened, though. My wife and I were driving around last Friday looking for a restaurant, and we happened across an older pop-up camper for sale!

We stopped, looked it over, made an offer, and towed it home!

It's a 1989 Palomino Mustang. It needs a little TLC, but we're already having a ball fixing it up and outfitting it to just our liking. I'm not sure if it qualifies as a "bushcraft" item, but we're having fun anyway.

Thanks again everyone!

My old neighbor used to have one of those Mustang trailers. He loved it and he and his wife lit out for the West Coast with it last year and are'nt back yet! Enjoy it where ever you park it for the night!
