A late 60's - early 70's Randall Made Knives #12-13 Raymond Thorp bowie. This is the biggest knife they make.
13" x .250" O1 steel blade.
Nickel Silver Forward Curved Crossguard.
Scalloped Brass Collar.
Black Micarta Commando grip.
Scalloped Brass Coolie Hat pommel.
Original Johnson Rough Back sheath with salmon stone + New "No-Hone" sheath, also with a loose salmon stone.
Used condition, the previous owner had sent it back to the factory for a complete spa treatment. Edge and clip are sharp. There are some very minor spots on the blade as seen in the photos.
Also had them send a new "No-Hone" sheath along with it, as a spare to the original sheath. The JRB sheath does have a few marks on it, nothing major. The top end of the new sheath is a little dark, should even out eventually.
Also included is a first edition of "The Bowie Knife" by Raymond Thorpe and a July, 1964 issue of Frontier Times with an article about Thorpe's supplying two of Randall's bowies (one of them his design) to the King of Jordan.
Price for everything is $SPF. I need the money for my daughter's tuition. This includes all fees, USPS Priority shipping with delivery confirmation.
PayPal or Money Order.
I'm going to limit this sale to CONUS only.
