This is from South African custom knife maker Michael Du Plessis. The scales are dyed giraffe bone and they are more of a salmon and ivory color than the orangish photos show IMO. This is a non locking slipjoint with a center safety blade position. Spring is stout but operation is buttery smooth and the knife can be opened with thumb and forefinger. 3.25" blade of Bohler N690 steel is dead center when closed. Bolsters and liners are 304 stainless. Lovely knife with fine workmanship...even the internals are beautifully polished, the back of the spring is like a mirror for maximum stress relief. The back spring is perfectly flush in all three blade positions. To get on MDKs books for this knife is nearly $600 and a considerable waiting period. Remains in like new condition.
