Spider Monkey’s

I got a red w/blue liners a few weeks ago and have a jade Bad Monkey. My daughter say's 'You need more Zac Brown knives'. I'm thinking about a CF SM w/blue liners next.

I've been looking as SG knives for years but never pulled the trigger, the 2 I have are really great knives. I don't like the pocket clips, I'd prefer a deeper clip that didn't grip quite as tight. I wear pants with reinforced pocket lips, when I'm using one of the SG knives a lot I just drop it in my pocket between tasks as it takes too long to get it clipped back on over and over. I have to pull the clip open a little to get it on my pocket. If I open it up any more I'm afraid it will be too loose in normal pants with such a short clip. A deep carry version could be roughly the same length but have more clipping area.

Overall pretty decent knives for the $$, I'll be getting more. I'm kind of over drop shut flippers and prefer thumbs studs and washers with hydraulic actions these days. I'm a bigger fan of the SM size vs the BM but both are pretty nice.

I have several spider monkeys, had a couple more that I mistakenly sold. I also have a bad monkey, sold another bad monkey, as well as a quill and vermin neck knife. I have/have had a few other knives that I swap through my rotation, a sebenza insingo, microtech ultratech and socom elite, several benchmades, spydercos. I like the others very well, but I keep coming back to the Southern Grinds - I thank my brother for introducing me to them... There is just something about their designs I love - great materials, great function, and overall great knives. They are somewhat of a unique knife and brand - great story behind them too.

Did anybody get one of the glow in the dark sprints that came out this week?

Well i broke down and ordered a southern grind spider in red g10 from usa made blades.
First off they got on ball and i got the knife in two days .
The knife came sharp ,centered and well finished. I dont think anyone could find an issue with it .
American made, red g10 ,s35vn , titanium frame lock ,sharp even grind ,all for two hundred.
Oh yea . The action is a little tight , but a couple drops of mineral oil and its on its way to a proper break in .
