For spider experts. What kind of spider is this? Sorry, the pic isn't the best.

hunt on land, dig burrows and wait for prey..does not spind a web... can be pissy so don't aggervate it....can jump so dont get to close, did you scream like a little girl when you seen it or it seen you.... good for removing pest in the area,I would not squish it..just move it along.....

Actually, I cremated it. :D It went into the furnace and never came out after I started it. Fried at 1800 degrees.

I'd say a wolf spider too. Harmless, except to the moesquitos that are gonna be chewing your butt soon.

That's a Brownish-Gray fishing spider. Harmless! Please don't kill it. Thanks.

Special run of Spider-Ash-Treated Knives!

Seriously, looks like a harmless wolf spider or something of that kind. My kids found one at a friend's house at a birthday party last weekend. I had to keep people from killing it out of fear. At our house, we leave all spiders alone (except for black widows and brown recluses, which I am careful to kill as soon as I find). I think they take the credit for keeping our insect populations way down. I mean, what better insect deterrent than one that is always hungry, and highly motivated to hunt down whatever insects there may be, day or night? My joke to the kids about spiders is, "They eat bugs, so you don't have to." A big one like that will take care of roaches, crickets, etc.

Believe when I say there are alot more then just this one. I leave them alone in the house. Mostly in the basement. Lots of spiders where I live out in the sticks.
