Ed, that is absolutely gorgeous!

Forgive you for showing off?! You are no more showing off than when a proud daddy trots around with pictures of his new baby! You have reason to be proud!

Love your fantastic damascus design, blade shape and your selection of those awesome scales! The photography is great, too!

I agree with Dr. Lathe. New wallpaper!!

Don't hold back. Do it again!

Ed,

Congratulations

! Designer damascus can be a real #@tch I'm told, so learning to do it with 100 lbs of steel doesn't sound all that bad. Others have also commented on that handle. It certainly is striking when mated to your damascus!

Well done! I hesitate to ask how much that puppy will go for as I suspect you'll be keeping it as a memorial to getting things "right enough" to satisfy your lofty personal standards.

I wish I knew how to whistle on e-mail. That is unbelievable and well worth 100lbs of scrap.

Incredible work of art, Ed. I've seen pieces of similar quality for twice that price.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, and the kind words! It's good to know that folks like what I'm doing. I was more excited about getting the pattern down than the overall knife. With all these "warm & fuzzies", I'm ready to try something else now. Thanks again!
