Spike hawk completed

This is one of the Hawk's from the Field test post i showed about a week ago,the other one is already sold and i'll post pic's of it in awhile.This Has a 2 3/8 cutting edge-Grey patina sealed with beeswax to prevent rust-overall length is 8 1/2 with a teardrop haft hole for standard hawk handle's(might just have 1 laying around to send with it).Nice piece of Curly Maple With 2 cast in place pewter band's 1st i'll take for 165.00 get's it and i'll eat the pay/pal fee's and ship Conus for free,Thank's

That does look like a nice tool.

I'm not that familiar with hawks though. Are the pewter bands holding together different sections of the handle? Is this a user or more for show?

well i know this aint the place to to plug your wood supply......lol

but steve of coal creek forge has got some damn beautiful walnut on hand, as well as being a hell of decent fella to deal with.

well just forged a hawk last night and can only hope it finishes up as well as these ones do.

That is a true work of art! Love the file work and the handle is simply gorgeous! If you plan on making any more like this, please put me down for one!
