That's really nice! What keeps the head from slipping off? I hope this doesn't sound insulting, but are your hawks designed to be users? Just wondering how they hold up to splitting kindling.

Hi thanks,it's a friction fit tapered eye and tapered haft, it's not insulting I think they would hold up good as any,4140 is pretty good steel-you see the split rock:D-I just like to make them pretty:DRegards Butch
 
The last time I picked up one of Butch's hawks I wanted to throw it at the barn door and he wouldn't let me. Now he's chopping rocks! (These are outstanding Butch)
