Thanks,Stuart Willis

From the picture, it looks like the handle doesn't meet the hole all the way around. Is that just me not seeing it right or does the wood actually not fill the hole? Beautiful none the less. I might have to snag one of these.

The hole is tapered slightly at top. I grind this taper so when I drive the handle in it doesn't roll or shave the wood up. There is a little indention on the front corners. It is shadow that you are seeing. I assure the the wood is fitting on the inside of eye and the head is tight. Thanks for the compliments.

I think it's a shadow in the pic from the high polish on the handle.

The more I look at it, the more I think that is what it is.

That hawk is gorgeous. I need one of these BAD. I would love to add that thing to the camping gear. I might have to get myself an early birthday present. I don't know that I can wait till the 3rd. I'll have to try to talk someone into getting it for me. If that fails and it's still around, I just have to make the purchase. Gonna give the present approach a try first though.

Hi Stuart

Tomahawk arrived today . well packed and in great shape.

took 4 quick throws at a dead tree in the yard. Got 3 good sticks. Will get used to the balance very soon.
Almost to nice to throw but what the heck. A few little bruises on the handle if I miss again only add character.

wonderfull piece
Alan
