Late 17th to early 18th century style spike hawk.
Head is forged from 5160 and differentially heat treated.
Handle is handmade from walnut with cast in place lead free pewter bands and caps. Traditional oil and wax finish.
O.A.L of head 8 3/4 in.
Blade width 3 in.
Spike length from center of eye 4 3/8 in.
O.A.L handle 19 in.
Head and handle lightly aged.

That is a really nice 'hawk. Overall package is very well done. I especially like the cast-in-place collars.

Stu does very fine work. I'm fortunate enough to have 3 of his 'hawks, with a fourth on the way. Two were special commissioned pieces.
