Spitfire question

Dou you guys have a problem with lock rock on these? I bought the 721 which was really bad. If you tighten the lock bar screw, you can even open the knife it tightens the spring too much. Same with the Spitfire. It play wasn't as bad but damn close. It's a shame because everything else about the knives were great.

Yep my 721 has it to some degree, when locked open, the blade will move backwards, on mine you can actually see it's the entire pivot assembly moving in the handle.

Seems like a new screw set would fix the problem. I hope Buck comes out with a solution. I don't want them to drop the ball on this one.

So the 721 model is a wally world exclusive? That's a shame, because I just got a chance to handle a 722 Spitfire in a local sporting goods store yesterday; I liked the knife but held off on purchasing it because the store only carried the serrated version and I prefer plain edges. I jumped on the forums to look up some more reviews and came across this thread...I gotta say, I like the profile of the 721 much more than the 722.

I hope the 721 becomes more widely available; my local wally worlds don't carry the 721 =/
