I've had a few nice ones, and recently have begun to re-appreciate this old school high end knife.

First rate show of knives, thanks:thumbup:

That kissing Krane is a real Yeti Whittler:D:eek:

What is the second one down with the nicely worn Green Bone or is it Bradford Bone?

Yeah, that Klaas is 4 3/8, I knew it was 4 3/8 when I ordered it, but once it was in my hand I could not believe the size of it. All it needs is a pocket clip and thumb stud and I couldn't show it in this forum!

That second one down is an "Eagleton Knife Co.", Levines guide shows it was made by Wester and Butz c1890 in Germany. It's a beauty, the walk and talk rivals ANY of my modern knives, this is the split backspring -

I really like that Queen in zebra wood. I have the # 9 stockman and its fantastic.

This knife is as tight as a drum. Zero blade plat and the walk and talk is stupendous.I love the worm holes too. I don't think I have any pictures of the back but.....

My favorite, the Canal Street Cannitler in ram's horn and D2.

By the way, Jim, I've got the same R. Klaas "Whittzilla", #153. :p I like 'em big!

Wow, you gotta love the swedging on that main blade, with a nail nick to boot! I have a Hammer Brand/NYK jack with great swedges, but that whittler of yours was definitely their top shelf stuff.

Thanks. I always pick this on up when I show someone what a knife should be made like.

Nice cannitler, my Winchester/Blue Grass is also one of my top 20 favorites, but I can't seem to make myself carry it. Is that Canal Street still available? And, what blade steel it that? It's a beauty!

Edited to add - Oh, D2, I see it now - I'm going to have to pick one up...

here's an old Queen made Case I now longer own.I couldn't open the thing.

"Queen made Case"? Seriously? I didn't know Queen ever made knives for Case!

I'm feeling the need for more whittlers, I absolutely love my Zebra wood Queen. I picked up a long tail "C" Tested XX at a street fair for next to nothing this last summer, I couldn't make myself carry it, so I passed it on. That's what got the bug started.

Keep 'em coming!

Jim, the Canal Street was a limited edition of 50 knives in 2007, using D2 tool steel. Occasionally one shows up on the auction sites.

The wood on the Queen looks very nice. It has some good figure to it. The Zebrawood is so much nicer than the BEM they used for a while. I also like the shield on the Eagleton.

There might be a pic or two in this thread also.;)

Elliott and Danny, thanks for the links! I can (and will) sit and look at knives for hours...

I own two of the Case 6308 models. Nice little knives but I've never taken pictures of them. I own one other "Krusius" Soligen German made split back that is a pretty cool knife but its tucked away. It has "PINQUIN" on the main blade but I've only found very little about it.

My favorite is the custom Don Morrow just bought for myself for my Christmas present. I was going to sell it but backed out after dwelling on it for a time. Its a bit hard for me to open with my weak nails but what a knife! http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=797740&highlight=morrow
