Splitting wood

Does Amazon offer free shipping out there? I got two Council Tool 6#'s for $60 shipped from an Amazon seller.

I worked in a woodshop in Tucson that did a lot of mesquite work - we had one guy who took all the scraps home to make carne asada.

Another option for you would be a new made Council Tool (still USA made) 6# axe eye splitting maul w/36" straight American hickory handle, SKU:60MA, list price $46.75.

OK folks, had round 2 yesterday. Used an old hatchet I dug up that was given to me from my father. Turned or much better, and did the job fine. I still hope to get a proper axe for the bigger stumps. Thanks again for all the help.

I have piles of good old USA made maul heads. I'll put a maul head, a sledgehammer head and a splitting wedge into a medium flat rate box for you for $15 + $13.45 shipping. You will have to figure out handles, but I'm betting that you have big box hardware stores and Walmarts there that can supply those. PM me if interested.

Thank you for the offer. I don't have pm, but please email when you have the time. Thanks again.

Way to step up, JB. You're a good guy.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to post an update on my adventure, and thank jb publicly for the effort he has made to help me. He sent me an 8lb maul, 6lb sledge, and 4lb wedge at almost no cost at all. I just received his package which unfortunately got opened during transit. The other 2 things must've fallen out along the way, but the wedge luckily was still in the box. It's a great heavy wedge which I definitely will be able to use for the tough Keawe. I'm thinking that will be enough for now to make some firewood. I was bummed that some items got lost in transit, but am grateful to have met a great guy in the process. Jb truly is a stand up guy as stated earlier, and I can't say how appreciative I am for the helpful members of this entire forum. Thanks everyone!
