I seriously think I've asked this question before, but can't find it with a google search, so here we go, maybe again. I've done CA (superglue) finish on most of my knives, usually 6 to 8 coats depending on coverage. I'm working on two knives now with the same wood, some elm burl that I cut up myself. For some reason the CA is leaving some parts dark and other parts light. I'm up to 10 coats or so and am not having any success getting the light parts to darken with further CA applications. What can I do to make the colors even out? Sand it all off and start over, or is there some trick?
