SPOILER ALERT!! Official 'The Walking Dead' TWD Season 7 Discussion Thread

Agreed with all of the above... I found myself not paying attention, and the weird way of speaking an the part of the wannabe mad max types is just too forced and contrived. It has not been that long since the "start" that English has so profoundly changed.

I've been watching Outsiders... that show, as strange as it might be, is pretty darn good.
Too much walker meat could have messed with their brain and thus they speak weird.

My opinion is, the show used to be riveting. You could not look away. Now I almost find myself being bored within the show. It has lost its tone and grittiness. I don't even watch on TV anymore, I just wait and watch it at leisure on the computer. This last weekend I watched the last two weeks. Before, I would not miss a second. Now Its not such a big deal. Its losing its appeal. I have read the writer is different now, you can surely see the show has changed and I am not sure of the change point, but they are doing the show in. It won't last many more seasons like this.

At least their throwing in some sex now as an attempt to spice it up a bit lmao! No time for sex on the move trying to stay alive day by day I guess haha. Though Glenn and Maggie got it done I suppose..but that was mostly back at the farm and maybe some at the prison.

The combination of carnival and armed military personnel seemed odd to me. Perhaps carnivals are different in other places but I can honestly say I have never been to a carnival that involved armed soldiers.

And not even getting into the CGI deer that was just randomly walking around inside the fence.

Seemed kind of stupid to me to go into the fence. I would have just done like they used to do at the prison. Draw walkers to fence, stab through fence, repeat.

Garth

I was thinking the same thing... not much of that made sense. And a deer that simply stood still as walkers/ anything approached it, moaning, was just ridiculous. I know that this is just a show about about an absolutely fictitious world, but a little realism is necessary when possible. My biggest compliant is that the writers have so much to work with--and yet we get what seems to be filler... long, drawn out, moody scenes of dialogue that does not amount to much.

amen Brother, agreed 100%

Yeah man, but I wish it wasn't so... those earlier seasons were pretty darn good. They need to get back to that... the main characters all seem to be acting "out of character"--and that just kills the vibe and energy of the show.

Why don't they paint themselves in Walker blood all the time or at least when trying to mow down a hundred of them to get at guns.
Better dead than dirty I guess?

That deer... looked only half bad when you watch it SD instead of HD ;-)

I still enjoy the show but yes, it used to be far more fun to watch when the walkers were the threat. The writers have turned them into nothing more than an annoyance and I think that takes a lot away from the show.

I can see that happening here. Carnivals are set up at fair grounds around here all the time. That is also the place emergency shelters and ops are to be set up. If the two happen at the same time then there it is.

Could not agree more.

The CGI deer was hokie. Maybe just needed it for the scene to show that she was going to let them take her with Rick gone. The car rolling to the hole in the fence got me,no brakes slam it into park at the proper time or use the e brake.

Welcome back Morgan. Please stay the awesome Morgan that had the in-house arsenal. Forget all the cheesemakers crap and get back to being awesome. Hopefully Carol comes back around as well. Not gonna miss "boy band" Benjamin either. Last thing that world needs is more passive cheesemaking disciples.

I was waiting for the whole season to end, than down load it and Binge Watch it. But I think im done waiting, gona start now.
Pluss this Bad Boy showed up to keep me company

That's how I feel as well. Plus some of the newer cast members are just bad at acting. Very tired of the Daryl/Carol drama too.

The History Channel is putting out some very good stuff right now....SIX and Gangland Undercover. Both are action/drama series that keep me on the edge of my seat the way TWD used to.
