By all accounts, an extremely hard working and dedicated young woman who thinks nothing of going well above and beyond the call of duty to help every customer. Not to mention, from what I understand, one of the sweetest people you'd ever want to meet.
Unfortunately, as "point person" for Busse and, apparently, de-facto head of customer relations, she's in the perfect position to be slammed by irate, irrational folk who often want more than is reasonable or even possible. There is little that you can do in that situation other than apologize and hand the problem off to a superior if available or get the customer's info and complaints/demands. Get a decision from higher up (or pretend that you do if it is your decision) and if Jerry, "Jerry" or even the janitor say that that/those loudmouths should "Go and get stuffed.", dutifully relay that info.
AMY: I'm sorry that you were verbally abused to the point of tears but, unfortunately, that is a part of the world that we live in. Fortunately, that kind of person is not that common. Hopefully, the rest of are not big enough jackasses or whiners to cause you much grief. You are uniformly lauded on these pages and I suspect that you derive a good deal of satisfaction from doing your difficult job so well. Please continue to do so. I do not know what the actual Latin phrase is but try to remember the fake one : "Illegitemus non carborundum", which is supposed to translate as "Don't let the bastards wear you down." Take care.
