Spooky's 2K Giveaway Extravaganza

glsj1011- Is that your first fixed blade? The RC's are a good choice!

No, I also have a couple bucks and a sog seal pup, but I don't even think I have touched them since I got my RC-4!! I love this knife!

I have always been very outdoorsy, travelling to state parks and such, but the drives to my favorite ones are a least an hour and a half away, and with these gas prices and being a somewhat poor college student...:grumpy:.

But now that i have moved to a house on three acres with some woods, I have somewhere to practice all of the neat skills I learn here, so I'm starting to get into fixed blades and survival skills.

Spooky - Its a French Army Ruck. I bought it for $20 in an Army/Navy store in Mystic, Conn (the guy had a bunch - unused). I really like the size. Its water proof, but the back is a canvas/cotton material. I wore it hiking in the rain recently, everything stayed dry, and it doesn't make your back sweat. I've got some high-tech packs, but I find myself grabbing this one a lot...

I am just getting into this whole survival skills thing (mainly because of this forum:thumbup:), so that kit looks like it would be helpful.
Heres a pic of my favorite fixed blade:

Thanks for the contest!

If you are JUST getting into this whole survival thing, and IF that RC pic is your first tang, then you either have mystical intuition and spirits guiding you as far as good quality (although there are many other VERY good quality knife makers on this forum.... rhetorically speaking), or... :D You are very adept at either reading between the lines of many of us (I will always consider myself a novice) old farts who have experience and will tell you what works and what does NOT. ;)

Praise be to the newbies who seek refuge in these forums, for they are the projeny ancient wisdom. :) Excuse me, I am in rare form.
