I recently inherited some signed MLB baseballs. I remember many having letters of authentication, but they were not passed on to me. I'm way more into knives than baseball so if any of you want to trade, let me know. I looked up the value on these and cut the price considerably based on no authentication. I'm willing to hear all offers on partial or the whole lot. Interested in Folders including Sebenzas, Hinderers, and others. I also like TiBolt Pens if they are unique or ornate. Let me know what you have. Could be a great opportunity to get a gift for a loved one into sports. Here is what I have:

Price: withdrawn. Decided to get these authenticated before selling. I don’t want to pass off any fakes. Thanks for everyone’s help with these.

When was the Stan Musial signed?
And are you willing to pay the customers extra fees if any of these balls come back as “un-authentic”?

No, I’m not going to pay fees to authenticate a $50 ball. I priced all these for someone to feel good about taking a chance. My friend was a collector and purchased from reputable sources, but There is always a risk. Sorry, I’m not sure when the Musial ball was signed.

I wasn’t asking if you’d pay to authenticate one of these balls. I was asking if you would pay a customers fees if they paid to authenticate a ball only to find out it was not authentic.
Would you pay for those fees or not?

I only ask because a few of the sigs look very suspect. If you would promise to pay fees for any ball that came back to be not authentic a lot of us would feel better about what you’re selling.

I don’t think I’m out of line either. You’re asking a pretty penny for a few of those balls. A little insurance to the customer would go a long way in a sale like this.

I have no idea what these fees would cost so no. All items sold as is. I have no reason to believe these are not authentic, but I’m not going to rack up unknown fees on this sale. I’m willing to work with people on price on multiple items. Send me a PM please if you have further questions.

GLWS. I am an old sports memoribilia guy whose main area of focus is knives these days. I agree most look good but some
of the bigger names and ones often known to be forged like the Williams and Koufax, I wouldnt touch with a ten foot pole. The Mantle also would take a closer look, leaning towards no good. The Dimaggio Musial Berra Mays and Aaron Ryan all look good. I was actually going to buy the Griffey but someone recognized this one as a good deal.

I’m going to rescind my offer. Too much controversy and to be honest I don’t think any wrong doing on your part. I don’t think you’d risk your perfect rating over questionable signatures but the others who’ve commented have made me just wanna step away from it. Sorry. GLWS.

Thanks for your insight and background knowledge in this area. I hope everyone can see by my feedback rating that being fair is a priority to me and that I don’t want to rip anyone off. I was given these balls by a good friend and since I have no real connection to baseball, I’d like to sell them to buy a nice knife to remember him by. I trust there are people out there that have a high knowledge in this area and I realize this is an area where counterfeits are a concern. I don’t know how much authenticating costs so I’m hesitant to commit to reimbursing people unknown fees. I’m willing to drop the price to someone who wants to do some research and be able to make some money on the deal. I just don’t have the time or interest to research and try to authenticate each ball. Hopefully there is someone who would think it’s worth it at the right price. I’m dropping the price to:

$750 for the whole lot. I’m willing to take more photos if that will help. Send me a PM if anyone wants to talk more.

Sketch32 Sketch32 . Is reputable. Ive bought tons from the guy. He's not trying to pass off crap. He just doesn't know and has said so and has priced as such. Nothing to question his integrity. Check my and his feedback.

I have almost 20 years of experience with baseball autographs and can say that the following signatures are most likely authentic:
Yogi Berra
Duke Snider
Steve Garvey
Maury Wills
Gary Carter
Ken Griffey Jr.

The Ted Williams looks fairly good but is so widely and so well forged that I could not say from the picture.

I would not feel comfortable saying that any of the other signed baseballs are authentic as I spotted inconsistencies with known exemplars.
