I noticed on EBay they sell not only the SPOT and the normal $100 yearly subscription, but also this:

$49.99 / yr tracking Upgrade Option. Send and save your location and allow contacts to track your progress using Google Maps.


What's the deal with this extra option? I thought the normal subscription allowed your contacts to track you. What are the differences that would make this worth $50?
