Spot-welding bolsters to blades, for lazy bums

If you are going to spot stainless to stainless it should work fine ,I spotted a .040 strip to .250 for a motorcycle part and it worked great.
Not to sure how stainless spots to steel though and what thickness you will be using.

416 is stainless, not nickel silver. How are you going to weld a bolster without a lot of file cleanup afterwards? I think the cleanup would be more work than doing it right to start with. If you care at all how the outcome looks.

My bad - not bolster, finger guard :( . Any type should work - slotted or
the "2-half" type.

Align FG to the blade, make sure they don't move and then Zap, Zap , Zap .

416 is stainless, my question was also about NickelSilver - would it weld to
stainless like that ?
