Spring 2016 Becker West Gathering April 15th-17th

Heh... I'm pretty stoked to see all you guys. Let me know if you need me to bring anything!
 
I'll have my raggity 'ol pop up canopy, a table, and I'll bring a small Weber grill assuming Dan's setup is a no go.
How are we on firewood? I can bring a few stacks of planer ends.
I'll grab some Landjaeger from my butcher and I'll pick up some passenger bread at that little hipster bakery in Portlandia.
My cooler is sure to be stocked with ice cold Rainier.
Do we need anything else?...
 
I will have my pop up too and a table. Might have a little bit of wood to bring for the fire too. I don't have a large amount of blades of my own make but there are a few :) Also bring some factory stuff along with me too. Always open to other knife trades or ammo.
 
We're bringing a grill grate we just picked up at ace for this, the small grill I bought last time because no one had one and Jonny asked so nicely, and as much firewood as I have. Also Jen made some bacon whiskey jam that should go great of jonnys bread. And I'm going to have a couple small sheaths done for the trading table/blanket/whatever.

I've needed this for the last couple few months. I'm stupid excited for it!!

Dan's set up is a NO GO. Logan is making two trips up to the property ahead of time to deliver firewood from a demo job he's been doing. Any firewood folks bring on top of that is a bonus.
 
I'll be up there late tomorrow or early Saturday. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow to try to get my blood pressure down. Hopefully he'll prescribe woods time.
 
Keep your passenger safe! Billy and I will be up as early Friday as we can manage. Hopefully before noon :) We have cookies, pretzels, knives, and guns! Should be plenty of fun!!!

Sorry I can't join you guys despite being within spitting distance. Hopefully what's left of that big blow off the coast won't bother you. We had to hide from it up in the Straight.
 
Dang. No bacon whiskey jam for me.

What a great weekend! Lot's of great fun and food.

Man, such a great gathering! Thank you Johnny, Fal'r, Logan, Nick, and all the others who helped put this on and made for an awesome weekend of sharing nature, skills, stories, food, drink, laughter, excellent steel, friendly competition, and great company! The wife and l really enjoyed getting to reconnect with some beckerheads we knew and to get to know some we didn't. And the weather was phenomenal to boot! Thanks again to KaBar and Uncle E for sending the goodies (wife is already scheming about her new bk2), and for giving us an excuse for these biannual bushcraft bacchanalians!
