Spring Assisted Rat 1 is here!! Anybody else excited?

I like that it uses G10 but I don't need another more expensive Rat 1. If anything I would spend that cash for some aftermarket scales that would look much nicer and be without an unneeded safety.

Meh. I was more interested in the assisted G10 redesigned Utilitacs and new Joe Pardue design, but they apparently scrapped them. :(
 
I was interested until I saw it was going to be more than $50 shipped.
 
Still no reviews on youtube. I became bored with black G-10 a couple of years ago. My Rat 1s are so quick to deploy I can't think of a reason to get an assisted Rat 1. I would love to replace the regular cheap handle slabs for new colored G-10.
 
Was much more excited for the RAT Model 2, which brings the knife into the 3" legal carry range for me.
 
I got one a few days ago, and just like my utilitac it is built like a brick shithouse! The blade is perfectly centered when closed, fires like lightning, and the g10 feels great in the hand. But the g10 is very rough and it will tear up pants pockets very quickly. I handled a friends rat1 and loved the feel so assisted with G10 was not even a second thought.
And by the way I don't think there is any detent, at least not one that I can feel.
