Spring has sprung, where are you off to?

1st two weeks of April are turkey season here for youth firearms and archery only. I always take 2 weeks vacation then anyway for the archery only season, so I'm taking my 11 yr. old daughter out for her first turkey hunt with a shotgun since she isn't ready with a bow yet. I'm always "archery only" for just about everything I hunt anyway, so I'll be hunting for my gobblers if I can get her on a bird (or 2 if she is lucky) before vacation is over.

I will be whitewater kayaking all over Oregon and Idaho, and I have a 5 day backpacking trip in the Owyhee canyonlands planned for next week. Before I leave on Tuesday, I have to get a bunch of crap done-taxes, spring cleaning, a crapload of laundry, school application, etc etc etc. Monday is going to suck.

April 5th, I'll be on my way to Asheville, NC for 3 days before I head off to PWYP the 8-11th. W00t!

Great stuff everybody! Sounds like some fun destinations. I can't wait for May, especially with the weather we're having right now. We got two inches of snow last night but it's supposed to be 65⁰ by Friday:confused:

next outing will be short but oughta be good. car trip down to a pals land last wkend of april. there will be a lakota fella there who will be helping us make a self bow. so camping, maybe some hiking, lots of fire and finally making my own selfbow! really looking forward to this one.
next trip is in may to arkansas. another friend who owns a cyrstal mine near mt ida. camping again, definitely some hiking on her land, along with digging in the clay for crystals. shld be a good time. i envision(considering the group im going with) lots of hilarity at the firepit every nite.
