hey everyone... spring officially starts in less than two weeks now (at least here in the northern hemisphere) and we have had a few really great days now...

i am feeling really good right now with spring coming and with everything that's happing around me in general.

the weather is warming, plenty of camping opportunities coming up, i have a great girl that is almost as excited as i am to get out without snow, i went for the first barefoot run of the season today, i hung out in the woods with with a few great guys yesterday, i could go on for a long time...

anyways, the whole point of this post is to GIVE SOMETHING AWAY!!! ;)

i have three blades here that i'm not using, so i might as well send them on and try to brighten up someone else's day.

in order to enter:
1. post a picture of something green. a new photo, from last year, something you found on the internet, whatever. i want to see GREEN!!!
2. you agree to send me $6 if you win to cover shipping...i don't have any $$ despite my good mood! :o;)

this is how it's going to run: posting a pic will make you eligible for entry. if you post a photo, i will assign you a number and at the end i will use a random number generator to pick out three numbers. first place gets to pick first, second place gets second choice, and third gets whatever is left over.

you can post as many photos as you like, and you can have more than one post in the thread, but each person will only get one number.

i'm going to pick the number on March 21, the first day of spring.

Great theme for a contest siguy, and very generous of you!

Although I'm a big fan of winter, I can't wait for Spring to arrive. The rise in temperature has made it impossible to enjoy my usual snowshoe trails (which are on top of a bog that has now ceased to have an ice cover). We had a record-breaking high temperature here in Toronto this week. I was walking about in a short-sleeved shirt, pining for some greenery.

Here's my photo, taken from mainland BC in 2006:
