Yeah the Robbins have been singing, and the plants are slowly sprouting up, but you know it's spring when the Garter snakes come out to play!

I found this lil guy while walking my dog this afternoon in the bacl of my Townhouse. Almost stepped on him.

It had good taste in knives as well..

After playing with the snake, I met up with Big Mike for a hike. It was about 60F and sunny today, we couldn't waste that.

Went to a spot about 20 minutes away. There was quite a bit of logging going on, but after we got a lil deeper in the woods we couldn't hear the chainsaws.

We found a Geocache along the way.

Ofcourse we signed in.

More to come.....

CT is filled with all these Rocky outcroppings. Plenty of places to find a decent natural shelter.

Like this one to the left of Aiko

Very roomy in there, and obviously I wasn't the first to be there.

Pretty cool balancing rock..

Here is another cool natural shelter completer with fire place.

Some knife pron. I found that lil stump on the trail along the way. I just had to take it home...

I scored this Pygmy Falcon pack off the exchange recently. I am loving it!

Almost done, just a few more. Sorry...

Last couple are just some scenery shots. I hpe you enjoyed them.

Thanks for looking!

Great shots Tony! Ha - I always recognize your RC-5 because you're one of the few people who have used the spindle divet for its intended purpose!

I see the scream face in that ice melt!

Finding that snake must of been pretty cool

That stump was a cool find too ... not a bad way to spend the day

Thanks KGD.

That was a cool snake. It never even tried to bite me. The lil Garters I find around here are vicious, but this big guy was rather friendly.

I found a Salamander on the trail as well. Bye bye Winter:D

Would make for a fashionable neck warmer. I'll send you one of the Burmese Pythons that we've been finding in the Glades as of late.

cool pics tony. funny that you already found a garter snake. i havent seen any snakes out here yet, but i think some larger snakes live in these parts.

nice score on the stump! i have 4 that i keep in m back yard. one is more that two feet wide.

mike, nice hudson bay ( i am assuming it is yours, correct?). i am definatly a fan of that pattern, in spite of the fact that i usually dont gravitate towards bigger knives.

Sweet pics Tony. Love the ice breaking pic, looks like you could see all kinds of pictures in it if you look at it from different angles.

And the RC 5... Makes me want mine to arrive sooner..

A few of my shots.

Im in the Waterbury/Bristol area.. I'm game for get togethers. Im more of a backpacker than a bush guy..but I like the basic skills of survival that are necessary whenever you are a distance away from creature comforts.

And my name is Paul actually.. trying to figure out how to put a signature in here...

Sounds Good Paul. Your not far from us at all. I'm in Bethel. There are a couple Guys in the New Milford area, as well as around Canton.

Our next Get together is scheduled around July, but quick gathering pop up alot. So stay tuned in the the forum. Mike and I Hike mostly during the week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so if your free sometime give me a shout:thumbup:

Edit- I'm a dumbass I called you Dan again... Sorry
