Spring is really here !!!

I needed to clear my head a little today so took a trip down to a nearby marsh for a look around.

When I got to the Marsh there were Skunk Cabbage shooting up everywhere, a sure sign that spring had arrived.....

A lot of people don't like the smell of this plant but I kinda like it, just cos it's different I guess. Maisy had to get in on the action !!!

I found this nest as I was leaving the marsh, looking at it I'd think it was last years....

I noticed we're getting buds on the trees around here, too. Right after the last snow!
 
Great pics. The weather is a lot milder here generally anyway, but the flowers in the local hills are starting to pop out. It's a nice couple months before everything turns brown again!
 
Dude, it is 12F here and we still have snow on the ground. I am too jealous to be seeing green stuff popping out of the ground :)
 
There is nothing more encouraging than seeing buds on the trees and plants poking through the snow when the midday temperature, in bright sunshine, is still in the 20s. :thumbup:

Now Michigan, I don't know. :D

Yep. More snow on the way tomorrow.

On a happy note, I was at a relatives house last Saturday and he has Crocus and what looks like Hyacinth poking about 3/4" out of the ground already.

Poor flowers. They don't know what they're in for, waking up this early in Michigan :p .
 
nice terrain there, as always.

i think today we hit a record low for today, and with the leap year we don't get much chance to set a record for teh 29th...we will see about tomorow. the weather guy says we just might

we are definitely not near spring at this point. maybe ina few weeks more...
 
Hmmm... spring. Now there's an interesting concept. I haven't seen my lawn in three months, supposed to dip to -5f. tonight and snow 6"-8" tomorrow night.

I'm with you! We just had a friggin sleet storm last night and lots of people all over the roads...:grumpy: Looking for spring!
 
Thank goodness for Global Warming it's all the way up to 0 F this morning !! A wonderful spring !
