Google map link of our walk.
My partner and I took a bushwalk (the first since my knee has played up) and it was a great spring day. We took off to the hills to check out an area we've not seen before. This is not typical Aussie bush. The area had extensive bushfires in the fifties and they replanted groves of European and American trees; redwood, maple, beech, elm, rhododendron, dogwood, liquid amber, oak.
Thought I would share some pics (phone pics so a bit crappy, sorry)
The valley we walked thru.
Facing down the track towards some redwoods.
Same spot but facing back up the track.
We found this small tree had recently fallen and the NP had carved a nice path thru.
This is more typical of the Aussie bush we see in the south-east of Australia.
Had a great day and after 11km my knee is feeling fine so I'll get back into it might even do some multi day hikes as the weather gets warmer.
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Jules
