SPRING RENDEZVOUS “PEACE” Memorial Day weekend 23-26 May 2008 (Thursday thru Monday)

We are pleased to announce that we're going to be having our second annual spring rendezvous! We now have two annual rendezvous, WAR and PEACE. We will have seminars and demonstrations. Some seminars we are planning are Edible & Medicinal Plants, Fire making, Survival Kits, Flint Knapping, Emergency crisis Management, Wilderness First Aid and more. We're also planning some competitions (fire starting, sling shot, staff-sling (distance throws), and air rifle contests. We’re also planning a potluck supper for Saturday night. Every evening we'll have a huge campfire for everyone to enjoy. And of course a rendezvous isn't complete without a Trade Blanket (swap meet), so you can bring any outdoor/camping/survival related stuff you're trying to sell or trade. We have a huge 50-acre field where folks can set up their tents. Campers are welcome but we have no electrical or water hookups. We do have toilet facilities. You can bring your own camp stoves or barbecue grills or you can use one of the fire pits. Light drinking is allowed. This is a FREE, family friendly event so please bring all your loved ones and friends. Friendly dogs are always welcome. The dates for this event will be 23-26 May 2008 (Memorial Day weekend). We certainly would welcome those of you who wish to come a day early (thur, 22 May). You can come for any or all of the days. We'll be posting more detailed information on our website www.weteachu.com (on our Newsletter page) as it becomes available. We'll keep you posted here as well. We're very excited about having our second spring get together with old friends and meet new ones. Hope many of you can make it cause we'd sure like to meet some more of you good folks! PEACE Update:
Well guys, after the great time we had at the CT Gathering I thought I'd remind you of our Peace Rendezvous. It's coming up pretty quick. A lot of the same folks will be there who were in CT. It should be a good time with good friends and lots of food. Hope some of our new friends who we met last weekend can come.

Peace Rendezvius is held in Chateaugay, NY, It's up on the Canadian Border in NY. My web-site has all the info in the newsletter.

Sounds awesome. I think I'm free that weekend, but need to see if I can get that far up - I hope so!
 
Marty, I would give up some of my blades to get there! I am going to see if anything can be done to get me and the family up there..my daughter is 2, is this OK for the campsite? Gene
 
Wow Marty thanks for the op to do it again, I have plans already to go to willet NY where they have Ninja Head quarters, I mean New England ninjutsu Head quarters.. A survival weekend....I hoping to come out alive as usual and usually do...And lumped also....LOL
I'm probably going to have to cook...thats ok less lumps I would love the chance to do something again with you and Aggie and who ever else, I really enjoyed you skit

Guys,
Received some bad news last night. ML knives was supposed to come to PEACE but he e-mailed me to tell me he won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to meeting him. There will still be lots of other folks including Garrick Malone, an excellent flint knapper who will be demonstrating this great art.

It looks like I may have been very conservative with my guestamation of 30 people. A rough count now is at 45.
