Spring Suppliers

Say a person were playing with the idea of making a balisong with a spring-latch. Where might one buy small quantities of extension springs for a reasonable price?

I've checked out Lee Spring... but $7 a piece with a minimum order of 10 units seems a bit steep to me for an experiment.

Any ideas?

try McMaster-Carr, they have a pretty good selection of springs. well they have a pretty good selection of everything.
