Thanks for having a look! That little tree has grown rapidly just in a yard pot. Hopefully it does well in the ground, I need all the shade I can get in the summer!!
Nice hat Daizee!!

This sprouted up in my planter, seemingly by itself, a while back. I asked around here to see if anyone new the type, I still don't know what it is.

Today I planted it in the ground, I'll just sit over here and wait for it to grow...

Hey Bladite! Long time.

Hey Warrior, you ever use or do any research on the Eureka SPRK camp grill? Or any other all in one butane camp grills?

I'm looking for a small all in one unit, preferably in a case, that I can take camping or even on the boat. I'd rather not need a pot or pan... less I need to carry the better...

Managed a short hike yesterday. I didnt get any pictures for the hiking thread but had a nice time. My 18 month old did great, she got pretty tired and enjoyed playing in the dirt. We also brought some city folks with us. On the way back their young girl didnt recognize where we were and thought we made a wrong turn. I had to explain to her since there is so much out in nature, you cant see it all and get to see things differently on the way back.

Friday and Saturday the high was in the 50's . Yesterday it was in the 60's today it made. 73 . Wednesday and Friday was raining . Luckily I took a day off last week and got my garden finished planting.
I am glad cicadas don't bother the garden

I wouldn't be surprised to find out all of our cicadas drowned this year.
we had a good run with no rain this week (it only rained Sunday, Monday, and Thursday) - I got to mow, the roofers got to finish at work and I got a pickup load of leftover gravel from them on Saturday, yesterday I tore out the back steps, backfilled with 1/2 ton of gravel to fill in the dog wallows, moved them, and replaced a 12x4 chunk of walkway.
today it rained another inch and a half, so I didn't rebuild the enclosure around the AC condenser or add new railings -- but I got a nice nap!

that'll probably be us in 2 weeks if it ever stops raining and warms up.

Other than the noise and keeping the beagles for eating too many the aren't bothering me . They don't bother the garden. The do make it hard to bait starlings and sparrows into my safe shooting zone , with so many bugs bird seed and suet cakes don't interest them

They are to be especially tasty as soon as they crawl out of the shell. Or maybe its before they create(?) the shell.

I was just thinking tonight, "Oh THOSE Mulberry trees!" It's like you can see them grow before your eyes. I'm getting a bit less gung ho to grow a monster mulberry that MUST be trimmed regularly. The yard is quite full as it is.

Cicadas aren’t even out in NC yet, it’s been unusually cool. Normally it about feels like ya got hit with a wet blanket when you open the door. Past years when they came out you can hardly hear the person next to you talk, so far I haven’t seen a single one.
