Sprint Run Full Size Calypso W/FRN Scales

Whether micarta or FRN, by the BIG CALY is my answer DEFINITELY YES!!!
Make the dream come true?

Please no more FRN!!! Micarta or CF absolutely!!!
I think this knife definitly needs a comeback!!

I too stand in the ranks of those who would like to see a comeback of this most excellent knife. I managed to pick up a serrated one a year or two back. It stays in its box and I fondle it on rainy days. I'd love to have a user. Stainless handles would be like, totally f'ing sweet. Of course, I wouldn't shy away from carbon fiber. G-10 with stainless liners (or without, even,) would be awesome. Classic black micarta would be great as well. Change the steel if you need to differentiate from the previous generation.

I would dearly love to see a FRN full-size Calypso, personally, but if that isn't feasible, a rerun with micarta or G-10 would be great. I much prefer the straighter edge of the Calypsos and Manix to the outwardly curved Delica, Endura, Paramilitary, etc. May not look as good, but it stays in the cut a lot better on many materials, and is easier to sharpen.
A Para with a Manix style blade would float my boat, too.
Anything full-size, slender, lightweight, fully flat ground, and with the Calypso blade shape would be fine.

...I know I'm not asking for much :o

Wow, a full-out design. I would certainly consider that. If F+F were like the Persian, I'd spend my MC-n-Cheese money to get one (like I did for the Persian).

It'd be awesome, but I'd frankly rather see a no-punches-pulled Calypso _Jr._ first. I know that model's gotten a lot of attention recently, but it seems more in line with the concept. There're plenty of people out there who love big knives with pretty handles, but in my opinion the greatest value of bolsters and exotic scales is as camouflage. Encouraging the "that's pretty" reaction over the "oh my God; you must want to kill my babies" reaction. It seems that a smaller knife would fit that niche better, while a larger one (like the Caly Sr.) is meant for a niche that sees too much heavy use for expensive exotic materials.

Don't get me wrong; I _want_ a full-size Calypso. I'm just not sure Spyderco's "upscale" line (which I love, BTW; my current EDC is a bone-handled Kiwi in a William Henry sheath) is the right place for it.

Me too. I would like to have a Jr with some fancy handle, and a full size with micarta.

I really like micarta because it looks fancy but is also strong and light.

I would really like a an upscale sull size Calypso too. I still would like FRN or some other inexpensive handle also because I really like the Calypso as a work knife, not just as a show pony.
