I've got my CF Millie, which I love to death, and I've been working on getting the D2 para, for a good edc. I love how thin the handles are on my military, I like how simple and functional it is, and I think the para would make a great all-around edc for me.

I was wondering if anyone had knows if there is a planned upgrade to the Paramilitary. I'm not sure if people working for Spyderco are allowed to let that loose or not, but it'd be nice to know if there's a CF model in the works or something like that. I'd have to get a head start on the saving. ;)

I know that Sal was asking for input for a Paramilitary update a while back (probably last year). The last I heard, it was still quite a ways out, though.

I think it's still a ways out. I am anxious to see what they decide to do with the current Para and any future generations of it (if any).

If it is called "Paramilitary" and it's made by Spyderco I will buy it.

It could be a dirty clothes hamper for all I care.....and it would be all the same to me.

No wire clips thanks, and no tip down carry. :) But that's just me. CF would be nice too!

Digital camo would be a nice addition ,like the new military version. I certainly would buy one!

I'm a little torn on a 4 way clip. It'd be great for lefties, but I don't prefer tip down carry on my millie. No wire though, that would ruin my Spyderco high if a new Para came out. :(

Please 4 position clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please NO!

I hate seeing swiss cheesed handles just to make everyone happy. Sometimes you need to adapt to the knife.

I also hope they NEVER do away with the current clip. I think it's awesome how it has a triangle screw pattern around the pivot and that it curves to follow the handle.

Plus, last time I looked a Sprint Run is just a different handle color or material and/or blade material. Not changing the knife and drilling new holes and adding longer liners to accommodate those holes.

+1. The current clip position and linerless style should stay the same.

How about a system kind of like Buck has, the build your own 110. A build your own para would be pretty sweet.

That would be an nice option, although I'm not sure how cost effective it would be. Probably a bunch of reasons why it wouldn't work that I'm not thinking of. :(

wolf: I like the orange G-10 idea. :)

:eek::eek: Digicamo paras are coming out in 2009, cheack out the spyderco 2009 product guide.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: I know! I know! Black blades and SE too!

The only downside is that I'd like a Black/Black one and a Satin/Digi one too. Then a D2 one, and I might as well get one SE. Never had a SE Spydie, should prove interesting. But that's at least like $500 right there. Time to fund raise. If you're ever in the Ann Arbor/Brighton area, stop by my drive through bar.

k., now if I can get a Digi para I can finally send my D2 off to STR for a lowriding clip and not be as lonely.
